For my thesis project, I chose 3ds Max to create a traditional house from scratch. This engaging assignment allowed me to showcase my 3D modeling skills and incorporate elements of real architecture. What started as a basic box evolved into a charming house complete with a terrace, stairs, tower, and a sandy texture, making it look like it belonged in the desert.

Yet, I didn’t stop there! To make the project more immersive and fun, I used Unity to enhance the environment around the house. I implemented player controls, gravity, and hand presence to make the experience as realistic as possible. I even animated the hands to grip and pinch objects authentically.

I added rocks, sand, plants, and palm trees using height maps, brushes, and layers. The skybox contributed to the overall immersion. Additional elements included a tent, cannons, hand torches, other similarly textured Middle Eastern houses, water wells, buckets, log stacks, wooden boxes, and clay pots. For a touch of wildlife, I added an eagle, only to later realize that falcons are more common in the UAE!

November 2022

For a competition, I created a spaceship hangar in the metaverse using Unreal Engine during my first week on the job, despite being new to the software.

The project involved designing a detailed hangar environment with pre-owned assets to ensure efficiency and high quality. Additionally, I added a unique feature by incorporating a greenhouse at the top of the hangar, blending futuristic elements with natural greenery. This project not only helped me quickly get up to speed with Unreal Engine but also showcased my ability to adapt and innovate under new circumstances.

For another project, I was tasked with getting a 3D neutral face in Blender and using shape keys to animate various facial expressions, such as anger, sadness, and happiness for a client. This project aimed to enhance customer service interactions by using a 3D character to display emotions, offering a more engaging alternative to traditional phone or video calls.

After designing the facial expressions, the character was exported to Unreal Engine for further integration. This involved experimenting with different characters and rigging techniques, utilizing Blender’s Rigify add-on to ensure proper animation and control.

August 2023

One of my most significant projects was my thesis, which I originally developed in Unity over several months. To create a polished showcase for a company portfolio, I redeveloped this project in Unreal Engine within just a week. This enhanced version featured superior assets and advanced lighting and shading techniques, demonstrating my ability to quickly adapt and improve upon my work to meet professional standards.

September 2023

I developed a 3D version of Flappy Bird in Unity with a space theme. In this game, a rocket serves as the bird, and dynamically spawned rocks act as the pillars using Unity’s Addressables system. The game incorporates classic Flappy Bird mechanics, where players must navigate the rocket through gaps between the rocks. It features a starting screen and a game over screen to enhance the user experience.

To ensure functionality, I tested the game on a mobile device. Additionally, I included minor animations to improve the game’s visual appeal and overall polish.

May 2023

As a programmer and game enthusiast, I  decided to take on the challenge of creating my own version of the popular game Flappy Bird. I designed a unique bird character with moving wings from scratch and programmed it to function as a game character. To add a special touch, I asked a friend to record flapping noises for the bird, giving the game more personality and enhancing its sense of individuality and fun.

April 2023

I developed an Android application to assist mothers and children in emergencies using Android Studio. The app features a simple signup and login process, and users can shake their phones to trigger a loud noise for alerting those nearby. This project demonstrated my ability to create potentially life-saving tools that make a real impact on people’s lives.

January 2022

I developed an app with a comprehensive client profile system that includes personal details and service preferences. Users can sign up and log in easily, select services, and make on-site payments based on the weight and options chosen. The app sends reminders when laundry is ready and automatically issues invoices, streamlining the process and enhancing user experience.

May 2021

I created a dessert advertising card using HTML and CSS. I built the card’s framework with HTML and applied various CSS styles to enhance its visual appeal. This included background color, font styling, padding, and border radius. To make the card more attractive, I added images of the dessert along with a short description, providing potential customers with a clear and enticing view of the card.

June 2022

I developed a fun website for the traditional rock, paper, scissors game using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. JavaScript powers the game’s interactivity, allowing players to make choices and see real-time outcomes. This project not only sharpen my web development skills but also demonstrated my ability to create engaging and dynamic user experiences.

May 2021

I designed and developed a responsive website using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and many developer tools to showcase my portfolio, work experience, and contact details. Emphasizing clean design and intuitive navigation, I aimed to create an engaging user experience across all devices. The site features high-quality visuals, optimized performance, and accessibility, providing visitors with a comprehensive overview of my skills and projects.
